yamaha 2013 FJR 1300A pics

  • Meet the new 2013 FJR1300A, boasting lots of updates sure to grab the attention of many riders. The aggressive new styling features, including the headlight cowl and side fairing, are not only great looking, they also help improve comfort and aid in weather protection.
  • Riders can now select D-mode (Drive-mode) for varying throttle mappings, giving the motorcycle exceptional versatility. This works in conjunction with YCC-T® (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) and the new intake/exhaust systems, generating engine character that can be sportier or more relaxed depending on riding situations.
  • Traction control developed from MotoGP® technology is standard on the new FJR1300A. While engaged, the system detects wheel spin and adjusts ignition timing, fuel injection volume, and throttle opening to help maintain traction. The system is designed to let the operator ride on wet roads and unpaved surfaces with more confidence.
  • Another new feature now standard on the FJR1300A for 2013 is cruise control. Riders can set cruising speed with the push of a button on the left handlebar to provide comfort and ease on extended road trips.
  • A newly designed, three-part instrument panel provides riders with all the information they need while enjoying the road. Riders can easily customize the display to show the information they want.
  • New LED front turn signals/position lights give the FJR1300A the modern, high-tech look sport touring riders want.
  • A redesigned, pushbutton-adjustable windscreen and a thick comfy seat for two are perfect for comfortable, long-distance riding.
  • FJR1300A includes a two-position adjustable rider seat, low for shorter riders or nearly 1-inch higher for a more spacious feel for taller riders, plus handlebars that can be adjusted to one of three different positions. The result is a superb, custom-fit ride.

  • Compact, lightweight 1298cc, DOHC, 16-valve, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine delivers power and torque for an unequaled spread of muscle over a wide rpm range.
  • Engine is a fully stressed chassis member, allowing for a lightweight frame design.
  • Slant-block engine design uses stacked, tri-axis gearbox shafts that help minimize powerplant size while optimizing chassis geometry for balanced weight distribution and great handling.
  • Lightweight forged pistons with carburized connecting rods provide superb strength and reduced reciprocating mass for outstanding highrpm durability and performance.
  • Advanced fuel injection system is ideal for long-distance supersporttouring, delivering crisp, seamless throttle response in a variety of altitude/weather conditions.
  • Low-vibration crankshaft with two gear-driven secondary counterbalancers help deliver an extra-smooth ride with reduced rider/ passenger fatigue.
  • Four-into-one-into-two stainless-steel exhaust optimizes engine performance across the powerband.
    • The upper cowl is redesigned while the under-cowl has a new shape for increased wind protection. The under-cowl’s adjustable panel has a new design for rider convenience and can be adjusted without tools.
    • The new adjustable windscreen improves rider comfort, the adjustment speed is now twice as fast and the screen holds its position when the key is turned off.
    • The throttle body is redesigned, and the shape of the funnel and the shape and length of the exhaust pipe have been changed to use the new YCC-T system.
    • The new Yamaha D-Mode system offers riders a choice of T-Mode or S-Mode. T-Mode provides good performance characteristics needed for touring. The S-mode maximizes the performance characteristics for a sportier ride.
    • New cruise control adjusts speed via a single push to the switch or, for larger adjustments, by continuously pushing the switch. Application of the brakes, clutch or throttle automatically releases the cruise control function. There is also a “resume” function that returns the cruise control to the most recent setting.
    • New handlebar switches on both the right and left control heated-grip temperature, electronic windscreen adjustments, and the instrument panel display. There is also a knob for headlight beam adjustment.
    • FJR1300 features a traction control system to help provide smooth, consistent traction on wet road surfaces or unpaved roads for more rider confidence.
    • The new dash and instrument panel offer modern styling with a three part arrangement: an analog meter on the left, a digital speedometer in the center, and a multi-dot display on the right.
    • The new fork design incorporates an aluminum piston rod and plunger and features a new spring rate. New rear shock damping and spring rate are revised for rider comfort, especially when riding with a passenger and/or rear cargo for a sportier ride.
    • The engine’s cylinders feature a liner-less design with direct plating to the cylinder wall for superior heat dissipation.

Yamaha's YZF-R15 was the 1st Indian bike designed in the true supersport image. Yamaha India has now took a step further with the launch of all-new 2011 model of Yamaha YZF-R15, which has been priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs. This price is ex-showroom price in New Delhi. 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15 R15 was expected to be launched in April 2011, then there were rumours that it will be launched in July, finally the speculations have come to an end, Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0 is here. But negative aspect is that New YZF-R15's technical specifications are exactly the same in comparison to 2010 model of YZF-R15, only the kerb weight of bike has increased from 131 kgs to 136 kgs.
According to Yamaha India while maintaining the proven ease of handling of the YZF-R15 version 1.0, the 2011 YZF-R15 boasts of spruced up looks and better performance in circuit riding. The design elements have been borrowed from the supersport model YZF-R1 that is adapted from YZR-M1 MotoGP race machine. The 2011 YZF-R15 has undergone changes as compared to the 2010 model of YZF-R15 in the specs of the Engine Control unit (ECU), drivetrain unit, a long aluminum swing arm, wider front and rear tires (radial tire for the rear), split seat, LED taillights and new-design middle cowl & tail cowl.

Engine of 2011 New Yamaha YZF-R15
- 149.8cc liquid-cooled engine, maximum power is 16.8 bhp (17 PS) with maximum torque is 15 nm
2011 Yamaha YZF-R15 features the 149.8cc engine which generates maximum power of 16.8 bhp (17 PS) at 8500 rpm with maximum torque of 15 nm at 7500 rpm. This is really sad because Yamaha fans were waiting for this bike from almost 10-12 months and it was expected that it will generate maximum power of 20-22 bhp but Yamaha Motor India has kept the specs same in comparison to 2010 model of YZF-R15.
Design and Styling of 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15
- All-new LED tail lamp cluster, new engine cowl/
- New step-up seat, all-new black alloy wheels
- New rear fender and tyre hugger, sportier riding position
- Fat rear tyre 130/70 R17, 4% less aerodynamic drag
Viewed from the side, the shape of 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15 created by the side panel and the upper surface of the tank creates an impression of the center of gravity shifting to the front tyre. A characteristic of the R-series is that, when you view the machine, you get a sense of its concept and performance. For example, Yamaha YZF-R1 shows a strong body line that springs up in a single line from the rear axle to the pivot and then to the head pipe. This is a visual expression of the straight shape of the Deltabox frame. These elements are a visual expression of “frame rigidity.” This philosophy has been fully transmitted to 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15. It features all-new LED tail light cluster, new engine cowl, new step-up seat, all-new black finish alloy wheels and new rear fender and tyre hugger. All design changes looks very cool except the ugly looking rear mud guard and saree guard.
Instrument Cluster of 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15
- Same digital-analogue console from 2010 model of YZF-R15
It was expected that changes will be made to the instrument cluster and more modern and better looking console will be introduced with the launch of 2011 YZF-R15 but company has made no changes to it. It is same analogue-digital combo. The digital screen is white backlit which looks very cool especially at night, it is flanked by a analogue tachometer on the right side.

one of the most powerful Yamaha R15 Sports Bike

Derived from the internationally acclaimed 1000cc super-sport bike, the Yamaha R1, the R15 is easily one of the most powerful and refined machines to hit the Indians roads, but being a sport bike of sorts, it’s far from being a favorite among daily commuters.
Performance
The R15 dishes out a whopping 17PS of power from its puny 150cc mill. While these figures may make every college-going student’s jaw drop, they should prepare themselves for the nasty surprise that’s to come.  And that is the poor performance of the bike in traffic; having a small and powerful mill only means that the bike will be plagued by a serious lack of torque at low revs. Riders can expect to half-clutch their way even through modestly congested city traffic while riding the bike in bumper-to-bumper traffic will require serious skill, lest the wily engine stalls for simply being too powerful for its size.
It’s only beyond the 4000rpm mark that the engine shows its true mettle, offering riders with hair –raising acceleration that no exclusive ‘for-India’ bike can match. It can charge up to its top speed of 130kmph in no-time flat. Fuel efficiency in the city does not exceed more than the 40kmpl mark but won’t drop below 35kmpl either which are very reasonable figures indeed, given the gas-guzzling nature that plagues the DNA of bigger Yamaha ‘R’ bikes.
On the race-track or an empty stretch of road the bike performs well taking on corners brilliantly at high speed thanks to the bike’s race-worthy rising rate mono suspension set-up and the aerodynamic build of the front-fairing.
Design
The design of the R15 stays true to the Yamaha R line, borrowing many design cues from its bigger 1000cc brother, the R1. It features the trademark twin headlamps and sharp-edged bikini-fairing that is seen on all other R bikes. The chassis is the so-called Delta-box frame ubiquitous to both, the MotoGP Yamaha bikes and the R-series bikes which lend to the bike its sporty stance. The riding position is also true to the racing breed where the rider will have to stretch outwards and lean toward the tank at all times.

Features & Color
The Yamaha R15 features many firsts exclusive to Indian bikes like liquid-cooling for the engine and slanting handle-bars. It also features the most powerful engine in the 150cc bracket which can also out-class the Pulsar 220 on long-stretches of road. Finally, the bike is fuel-injected as opposed to most Indian bikes that make use of carburetors.
The bike is available in a variety of colors including the trademark favorite Yamaha Blue. Graphite (Black) and Blazing Red were also among the first available colors. Now the bike also comes in Impact Yellow, Midnight Black and Sunset Red.
Price
The price of the bike hasn’t dipped since its initial release and remains above Rs. 1,08,000 (on-road) in most cities.
